Kirjaviisas is a Finnish book club that sends you three second-hand books once a month, based on a theme you choose. There are eight themes, from crime to sci-fi and from classics to children's books. You can also tell us freely what you want to read and what you don't. Every package is put together by hand, just for you.

The books are used but in good condition, and with us they find a new reader. You can also build your own package from 2–4 themes, with four books arriving every other month.

Three books a month, chosen for you

Kirjaviisas is a book club where you don’t pick the books. You tell us what you’d like to read, and we choose.

How it works

  1. Pick a theme and tell us your wishes: what you want to read, and what you definitely don’t.
  2. We put your package together by hand. Every package is different, because every reader is.
  3. Three books arrive by post once a month. We never send the same book twice.

Themes

There are eight themes, including Surprise me, Crime, Sci-fi & fantasy, Classics, Non-fiction and Children’s books.

Your own package

If one theme isn’t enough, choose 2–4. You’ll get four books every other month.

Why second-hand?

A good book doesn’t wear out by being read. We choose used books in good condition, and with us they find a new reader. It keeps the price fair and the books in circulation.

The small things

Every package comes with a handwritten note and a small treat. Our subscribers tell us that’s what makes it personal.
