Mikko Mallikas - Alfons Åberg is an ordinary boy who lives with his dad in a suburb, somewhere in the world. He is playful and imaginative, but can also be angry, jealous, and afraid of ghosts. Created by Swedish author and illustrator Gunilla Bergström (1942–2021), the first book was published in 1972 and has since been followed by 26 beloved classics.

This autumn, a brand-new book, Hyvää joulua, Mikko Mallikas, will be released. Based on Gunilla Bergström’s original texts and sketches, the book has been completed by her son in close collaboration with her publisher, adding a new story to the timeless collection.
